Lianyungang City is a historical and cultural city in Jiangsu Province, a city on the Maritime Silk Road for World Heritage application, and also the cultural origin of “Jinghua Yuan” and “Journey to the West”
Lianyungang is a national demonstration zone for regional cooperation in the east, central, and western regions, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (Lianyungang) International Logistics Park, the China Kazakhstan (Lianyungang) Logistics Cooperation Base, and the location of the Lianyungang area of the China (Jiangsu) Pilot Free Trade Zone. It has been rated as an excellent tourist city in China, a national civilized city, a national garden city, a national forest city, and a pilot city for the construction of national intellectual property rights. It has tourist attractions such as Huaguoshan, Liandao, Kongwangshan, Haiyuntai Mountain, Dayishan, and Xishuanghu. In 2021, Lianyungang Port was designated as an international hub port.
